sort of a s&m-ish editorial with the harness and laced up boots and bodice.
at first, i didn't really like this editorial but the more i looked at it i could appreciate it more. i've seen all of the clothes in this editorial presented in at least one other fashion magazine. for instance, the marc jacob outfit in the fourth picture and the stella mccartney dress in the last picture are usually shown in the manner of sweet and feminine. i like that here, we can see it in a more masculine and aggressive way. fashion is about multiple perspectives any way, right?

Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2011 Lookbook

how to express my love for this lookbook...?!!
there were some pieces that i left out from the book because i didn't really like them but these, my friends, i absolutely adore. the colors are great, the simple silhouettes are great (thank you dolce & gabbana for not experimenting with proportions like prada and louis vuitton!!), and i love the fish nets that scream chic.

Alexander McQueen Resort 2012

i was impressed with mcqueen's resort collection because it had more of an intensity of a couture show than a ready-to-wear one. especially with the last few intricate evening dresses, one would feel more comfortable and safe wearing them at a black-tie event than dragging the delicate trains through the alleys of italian seaside resorts.

'romantic utility' was the word that inspired sarah burton for this collection and you saw the references in the nipped-waist jackets with kick pleat skirts and cotton drill pieced together in different military greens. besides the clothes, the accessories were great as well.

forget resort-wear. this could be my wedding dress..!
