Reverse. Pause. - Selected Favorites from Fall 2012 RTW

scenes during fall 2012 rtw shows

if i may be critical and give a false impression of arrogance... i wasn't much inspired with any fall 2012 rtw shows.
in fact, i'm lackluster about the current resort 2013 collections. maybe i'm going through a phase... fashion puberty perhaps.

due to the said "phase" i have zero post on fall 2012 rtw. and with the oncoming of 2013 collections,
i wanted to have some sort of a closure to fashion-year 2012.

there were some awesomely detailed, beautifully cut, and impressively designed clothes.
more importantly, i do very much recognize and appreciate the sheer amount of skill, effort, time, and dedication a collection holds.
and so i have gathered some of my favorite pieces from fall 2012 rtw collections.

Emilio Pucci Resort 2012

pucci is usually known for the tiny outfits that reveal your latest tan from capri. in other words, pucci wouldn't be pucci without the va-va-voom and sex. so i was pleasantly surprised when i saw the house's latest resort collection which was much more demure than usual. not to worry, there still were the sheer and laced dresses. but additionally, there were some nicely tailored jackets and dresses with modern, clean silhouette. (is it just me or do some of the pieces look versace-esque..?)

Emilio Pucci / Spring-Summer 2011

i always associate emilio pucci with summer. with its exotic prints and skin-tight / skin-revealing dresses, pucci provides options that suite all kinds of occasions during the sunny times. winter collections, on the other hand, doesn't seem to be as strong. case in point is pucci's fall 2011 collection which i didn't love as much as i do for its spring-summer 2011 collection. who wouldn't want to slip into those flowy dresses and walk the coast of french riveria or stroll about in mykonos ?
