 scenes during fall 2012 rtw shows

if i may be critical and give a false impression of arrogance... i wasn't much inspired with any fall 2012 rtw shows.
in fact, i'm lackluster about the current resort 2013 collections. maybe i'm going through a phase... fashion puberty perhaps.

due to the said "phase" i have zero post on fall 2012 rtw. and with the oncoming of 2013 collections,
i wanted to have some sort of a closure to fashion-year 2012.

there were some awesomely detailed, beautifully cut, and impressively designed clothes.
more importantly, i do very much recognize and appreciate the sheer amount of skill, effort, time, and dedication a collection holds.
and so i have gathered some of my favorite pieces from fall 2012 rtw collections.

Daryl K Resort 2012

i've only heard of daryl k but i loved its resort 2012 collection (which looks a bit like alexander wang, helmut lang, and acne) that i did some quick wiki search.

daryl kerrigan, irish born but based in new york city, is the designer behind her own label daryl k. she's been around for quiet a while! in the beginning, as in the early 90s, kerrigan wasn't attracted to the fashion scene. without any advertising or pr, she built a name for herself through word-of-mouth. in 1996, she received a perry ellis award for emerging talent from cfda. called "the queen of downtown cool," kerrigan has established a cult following among new yorkers. she is a favorite among fashion personalities like inez van lamsweerd and ellen von unwerth.

Style: Kate Moss & Leather Jacket

if kate moss pulled off her balamain leather pants flawlessly, she can also rock some seriously chic leather jacket. i won't be surprised if at least half of her closet was filled with leather goods. she looks so good in leather.

Style: Ashley Olsen & Dress/Skirt

gathered some of her dress/skirt looks. as always, mega-urban-chic.

Style: Olivia Palermo & Casual Wear

olivia palermo is another well-known stylish girl about town. she was even voted as one the best dressed new yorker and rightly so it seems. with kate moss, she sticks to her blazer + jeans + belt combo but with palermo, she wears and experiments with various colors and styles. here are some of her casual looks.
