andrea mary marshall was born in massachusetts in 1982. she received her bfa from parsons the new school of design.  through a series of provocative self-portraits rendered as paintings, photographs, and film, marshall examines the intersection of identity, female sexuality, and consumer culture in the context of the "ideal woman."she lives and works in nyc.
